Ather Energy has officially begun production of its latest electric scooter, the Rizta, at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hosur. Launched in April 2024, the Rizta marks Ather’s entry into the family scooter market, offering a fresh yet practical design and a host of advanced features.
New Design and Enhanced Storage
The Ather Rizta departs significantly from the design language of the Ather 450 range. It boasts a more conservative and functional aesthetic aimed at family use. The Rizta not only appears larger but also offers substantially more storage space than its predecessors. It features an impressive 34-litre underseat storage area, with an optional 22-litre frunk, making it highly convenient for daily commuting and errands.
Battery Options and Range
The Rizta is available in two variants, each with different battery options:
- Rizta S: Equipped with a 2.9kWh battery, this base variant provides a true range of 105km.
- Rizta Z: Available with two battery options, the same 2.9kWh battery as the ‘S’ variant, and a larger 3.7kWh battery that delivers a true range of 125km.
Advanced Features
The Rizta comes loaded with features, particularly in the ‘Z’ variants, which include a 7-inch color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation, enhancing the overall user experience and convenience.
Pricing and Competition
The Ather Rizta is competitively priced to attract a broad range of customers. The Rizta aims to compete with other popular models in the market, such as the TVS iQube and the Ola S1 range, offering a compelling alternative with its blend of functionality, storage, and advanced features.
Ather Energy continues to lead the charge in the electric scooter market with innovative products that cater to a diverse range of customers. The start of Rizta production at the Hosur factory underscores Ather’s commitment to expanding its product lineup and meeting the growing demand for electric mobility solutions in India.
