Ampin Energy Transition has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Poly Medicure to supply 9.9 MW of solar energy to the company’s operations in Haryana. According to the agreement, Ampin will provide power from its 75 MWp solar park in Kurungawali Sirsa, Haryana.
This move will replace approximately 35% of the conventional power used by Poly Medicure’s five manufacturing plants in Faridabad with clean solar energy. By switching to solar power, Poly Medicure is expected to realize significant cost savings, as the price of solar energy is around 30% lower than the current rates of electricity from traditional distribution companies (discoms).
Pinaki Bhattacharyya, MD and CEO of Ampin Energy Transition, commented, “As a trusted partner for renewable energy transitions in the pharma and healthcare sectors, we are proud to serve over 10 leading customers in this space. This new agreement reflects our commitment to decarbonizing the healthcare industry while providing reliable and cost-effective renewable energy solutions.”
