AFCOM Holdings Limited (BSE: 544224), a prominent name in the air cargo transportation sector, has taken a major step in its international expansion by forming a strategic relationship with Nauru Air Corporation, the national airline of the Republic of Nauru. The agreement was formally signed at the High Commission of Nauru in New Delhi in the presence of Hon’ble Minister Asterio Appi, Minister for Nauru Air Corporation; Charleston Deiye, Chairman of Nauru Airlines; Geoff Bowmaker, Vice Chairman of Nauru Airlines; and Manish Sundarjee, Consultant, Nauru Air Corporation.

In an official statement, Minister Asterio Appi announced a six-year collaboration with AFCOM, calling it the beginning of a promising partnership aimed at unlocking new opportunities for both sides. He highlighted that Nauru Airlines, operating a fleet of seven Boeing 737 aircraft, is preparing to expand its reach beyond its existing network, and sees this alliance as an important step toward broader international operations.

This partnership opens a new chapter for AFCOM as it moves beyond equipment leasing into areas such as code-sharing arrangements, asset cross-utilisation, and expanded cargo access across Australia and the Pacific region. The agreement is expected to strengthen trade corridors, provide greater connectivity between Asia and Oceania, and facilitate faster and more reliable cargo movement.

The visiting Nauruan delegation noted that the collaboration is designed to boost regional economic growth by expanding cargo capacity, enabling more seamless bilateral trade, and improving access to major Asian markets, particularly India. By capitalizing on Nauru’s strategic geography in the Pacific, the alliance aims to build a more flexible and resilient cargo ecosystem that supports business growth and regional integration.

Both organisations intend to jointly explore additional opportunities, including new leasing models and commercial initiatives that will help strengthen their presence across Pacific and Australian markets. AFCOM’s performance track record, operational agility, and customer-focused logistics solutions were key factors in establishing this relationship, which is expected to drive significant cargo capacity expansion across Oceania.

Reflecting on the development, Capt Deepak Parasuraman, Chairman and Managing Director of AFCOM Holdings Limited, described the partnership as a pivotal milestone in the company’s long-term strategy. He noted that the collaboration enhances AFCOM’s ability to build a more connected Asia-Pacific cargo network while opening new trade routes, deepening integration with Pacific markets, and improving access to Australia. He emphasized that Nauru’s location offers AFCOM a vital gateway into Oceania, enabling faster transit times, wider reach, and greater operational flexibility.

Founded in 2013 by Capt Parasuraman, AFCOM has grown into one of the leading players in the air cargo sector, offering specialized cargo solutions across ASEAN and other regions. Its portfolio includes General Cargo, Flying Fresh, Flying Pharma, Flying Priority, Project Cargo, Dangerous Goods, High-Value Cargo, and courier services.

In FY25, the company reported a total income of ₹24,254.16 lakh, an EBITDA of ₹7,260.82 lakh, and a net profit of ₹4,842.23 lakh. AFCOM continues to expand its global footprint through new partnerships and routes, reinforcing its commitment to service quality, operational excellence, and long-term value creation for its customers.
