Aerotech, a global specialist in motion control and automation, is presenting its latest advancements designed to meet the demanding requirements of high-precision manufacturing at Photonics West 2026, booth #749. With a strong focus on speed, accuracy, and repeatability, Aerotech’s solutions support cutting-edge applications across electronics, semiconductor, photonics, and medical device manufacturing.

Among the key demonstrations is a newly developed multi-channel photonics alignment platform created in collaboration with SENKO and Santec. This advanced system enables fast and highly accurate active alignment of multichannel optical arrays across six degrees of freedom, significantly improving assembly and testing efficiency for next-generation photonics and co-packaged optics technologies.

Aerotech is also highlighting its high-speed 3D laser processing capabilities through advanced two- and three-axis laser scan heads, along with DrillOptimizer and Infinite Field of View technologies. These systems deliver the throughput, precision, and surface quality required for complex laser-based processes in electronics, medical devices, and semiconductor fabrication.

Another featured solution is a precision R-θ gantry integrated with a compact mini-hexapod, combining decoupled linear and angular motion with ultra-fine six-axis positioning. This configuration enables flexible, high-throughput multi-axis motion in space-constrained industrial and scientific environments.

Visitors can also explore enhancements to Aerotech’s Automation1 motion control platform, including new tools that simplify custom human-machine interface development and improved amplifier performance. These upgrades are designed to support seamless connectivity with larger automation ecosystems while maintaining compact system architecture. In addition to live demonstrations, Aerotech experts will present technical insights on active alignment challenges in multichannel optical devices during a dedicated session at the conference, underscoring the company’s role in advancing precision manufacturing technologies.

Founded in 1970, Aerotech has built a global reputation for delivering motion systems that enable micrometer- and nanometer-level positioning accuracy. Its solutions support research institutions and leading technology manufacturers worldwide, helping drive innovation across aerospace, electronics, and medical industries.
