Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL), a key player in India’s energy transition, has announced its operational and financial performance for the fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2026, highlighting consistent growth supported by infrastructure expansion and disciplined execution. The company recorded strong growth in both volumes and revenue during the period, supported by expanding distribution networks and a diversified sourcing strategy. Despite challenges such as geopolitical tensions in West Asia, rising LNG prices and currency fluctuations, ATGL maintained uninterrupted gas supply across its markets, reflecting operational resilience and supply chain flexibility.
During the fourth quarter, compressed natural gas (CNG) volumes increased by 17 percent year-on-year, driven by network expansion across multiple geographical areas. The company also strengthened its piped natural gas (PNG) footprint, connecting approximately 11 lakh households. PNG volumes rose by 5 percent, contributing to an overall volume growth of 13 percent for the quarter.
Revenue from operations grew by 16 percent in Q4 FY26, largely due to higher consumption levels. However, the cost of natural gas increased by 18 percent during the same period, influenced by reduced allocation of administered price mechanism (APM) gas, higher domestic pricing benchmarks and elevated spot prices. APM gas allocation for the CNG segment declined to around 36 percent from 41 percent in the previous quarter, with the shortfall managed through existing contracts and spot procurement.
The company adopted a measured approach in passing on higher input costs to consumers, aiming to sustain demand growth. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by 13 percent year-on-year to ₹310 crore. Profit before tax stood at ₹214 crore, up 8 percent, while profit after tax increased by 4 percent to ₹156 crore.
ATGL continued to expand its clean energy infrastructure, including CNG stations, PNG connections and electric mobility solutions. The number of EV charging points installed by the company crossed 5,100 during the year, reflecting its growing presence in the e-mobility segment.
On the sustainability front, the company improved its environmental, social and governance performance, receiving strong ratings from independent agencies. It also earned recognition for its efforts in health, safety and environmental practices, as well as process safety standards within the city gas distribution sector.
ATGL operates across 34 geographical areas in India and plays a significant role in increasing the share of natural gas in the country’s energy mix. In addition to its core business, the company is expanding into emerging segments through its subsidiaries focused on electric mobility and biomass, as well as a joint venture for gas metering solutions. With continued investments in infrastructure and a focus on operational efficiency, ATGL remains positioned to support India’s transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy ecosystem.
