Adani Green Energy’s subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Forty One Ltd, has started a 250 MW wind power project in Khavda, Kutch, Gujarat. This plant features some of the world’s most powerful onshore wind turbines, each with a capacity of 5.2 MW.
With this project, the total operational capacity at Khavda has reached 2,250 MW. Adani Green Energy highlighted this project as a step forward in renewable energy and sustainability. In its Q1 update, Adani Green Energy reported a 31% increase in operational capacity, now at 10,934 MW from 8,316 MW a year ago. Energy sales also rose by 22% to 7,536 million units. The company achieved a solar Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 25.4% and a wind CUF of 36.2%.
Adani Green Energy plans to invest ₹2 lakh crore by 2030 to develop 40 gigawatts of renewable energy and aims for net zero emissions by 2050. Shares of Adani Green Energy rose 1.86% to an intraday high of ₹1,749.95 on the BSE but later settled at ₹1,736, up 1.05%.
