Adani Green Energy Reports Strong Q1 Performance with 31% Capacity Growth

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) showcased robust performance in its Q1 update, marking significant strides in operational capacity and energy sales. The company reported a 31% year-on-year increase in operational capacity, soaring to 10,934 MW from 8,316 MW.

This expansion was fueled by new greenfield additions, including 2,418 MW of solar and wind power plants. AGEL operationalized 2,418 MW of solar power plants, including substantial installations in Khavda and Rajasthan. Additionally, 200 MW of wind power plants in Gujarat were successfully brought online.

The sale of energy also witnessed a substantial rise, climbing 22% year-on-year to 7,536 million units, supported by the enhanced operational capacity. AGEL’s solar portfolio achieved a Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 25.4%, with a remarkable 99.4% plant availability. Meanwhile, the wind portfolio recorded a CUF of 36.2% and a plant availability of 96.8%. The hybrid portfolio maintained a high CUF of 46.0% with an impressive 99.7% plant availability.

Reflecting these positive developments, shares of Adani Green Energy Ltd closed at ₹1,758.80 on the BSE, up by ₹17.90 or 1.03% from the previous day. AGEL’s strong Q1 performance underscores its commitment to expanding renewable energy capacity in India, aligning with global sustainability goals.
