Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has announced the commissioning of a 185 MW wind power project at Khavda in Gujarat through its wholly owned stepdown subsidiary, Adani Green Energy Twenty Five C Limited (AGE25CL). With the addition of this project, AGEL’s total operational renewable energy capacity has increased to 17,472.2 MW.

The project has received all required approvals and was declared operational on February 28, 2026. Power generation from the plant is scheduled to begin from March 1, 2026. The commissioning marks another step in AGEL’s ongoing expansion of renewable energy assets across India.

Located in Khavda, one of India’s emerging renewable energy hubs, the wind project is expected to contribute clean electricity to the grid while supporting the country’s efforts to increase renewable power generation. The Khavda region has seen significant investment in renewable energy infrastructure due to favourable wind and solar resources.

AGEL said the project will help strengthen its renewable energy portfolio and support its long-term growth plans in wind and solar power. The company continues to develop large-scale renewable projects across multiple states to meet rising electricity demand while reducing carbon emissions.

The addition of the Khavda wind project further enhances AGEL’s presence in Gujarat, where the company has been investing in renewable energy projects as part of its strategy to build one of the world’s largest renewable energy platforms. AGEL is focusing on wind, solar and hybrid projects to provide reliable and sustainable power to utilities and industrial customers.

Adani Green Energy Limited is one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, with a portfolio that includes solar, wind and hybrid projects across several states. The company aims to support India’s clean energy goals by expanding its renewable capacity and adopting advanced technology in project development and operations.

The commissioning of the Khavda wind plant reflects AGEL’s continued commitment to increasing renewable energy generation and contributing to India’s transition toward a low-carbon power sector. The company said it will continue to pursue new projects that support sustainable growth while providing dependable energy supply to customers across the country.

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) is India’s largest and one of the leading renewable energy companies globally, driving the nation’s transition to clean power. The company builds, owns and operates large-scale grid-connected solar, wind, hybrid and energy storage facilities.

AGEL currently operates more than 16.5 GW of renewable capacity across 12 states, the highest in India, and aims to reach 50 GW by 2030 in line with the country’s decarbonisation targets. The company is investing in technology innovation to lower the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) and accelerate mass adoption of affordable green power.

It is developing the world’s largest renewable energy plant—30 GW—on barren land in Khavda, Gujarat, spread across 538 sq. km, five times the size of Paris. AGEL’s operating assets hold certifications for being water positive, free of single-use plastic, and zero waste-to-landfill, reinforcing its mission of enabling sustainable growth.
