Siemens and Accenture (NYSE: ACN) are enhancing their long-established partnership to help clients drive transformative changes in engineering and manufacturing processes. At Hannover Messe 2025, the companies announced the formation of the Accenture Siemens Business Group, a new dedicated practice bringing together 7,000 professionals with deep expertise in manufacturing and IT. This initiative will combine Siemens’ automation, industrial AI, and software from its Xcelerator portfolio with Accenture’s data and AI capabilities to co-develop and jointly offer solutions for their clients.

“Through this strengthened collaboration, we leverage the capabilities of two industry leaders—Siemens’ technology, software, automation, and industrial AI expertise, combined with Accenture’s proficiency in applying data and AI to engineering and manufacturing,” said Roland Busch, President and CEO of Siemens. “With the new business group, we’ll help clients across industries accelerate their value chains by embedding AI at the heart of their operations.”

Julie Sweet, chair and CEO of Accenture, stated, “Engineering and manufacturing represent the next frontier of digital transformation. The Accenture Siemens Business Group will harness the power of automation, data, and AI to help clients redefine their products and production processes. By partnering with Siemens, we will improve speed, efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen the digital core, all of which are key to driving innovation and creating new value.”

Accenture and Siemens have a proven track record of delivering significant value to clients. For instance, for KION Group, a leader in supply chain solutions, the two companies are integrating and optimizing core engineering processes by implementing Siemens Teamcenter as the unified product lifecycle management (PLM) platform. This effort is enhancing KION’s engineering capabilities with simulation, generative AI, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

At Navantia, a Spanish shipbuilding and defense company, the collaboration between Accenture and Siemens has led to the development of a new product development platform using Siemens Teamcenter and Capital Logic Designer. This platform enables the creation of digital twins for Navantia’s vessels, improving product design quality and reducing design and manufacturing costs by 20%.

The Accenture Siemens Business Group will develop innovative solutions for industries like aerospace, defense, automotive, consumer products, electronics, industrial machinery, semiconductors, and transportation. The group will introduce new services aimed at transforming engineering and research and development (R&D) models, assisting clients in establishing global engineering centers, and accelerating the adoption of software-defined products. The collaboration will also focus on enhancing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and supporting the widespread use of software-defined vehicle (SDV) frameworks for automakers.

New manufacturing services will enable clients to implement and optimize manufacturing execution systems, improving real-time tracking and control of production. Additionally, the group will help clients enhance AI-powered operations and automation on the shop floor, along with strengthening the cybersecurity of operational technology (OT) systems through managed security services, including Accenture’s Managed Extended Detection and Response (MxDR) platform.

The Accenture Siemens Business Group will deploy Accenture’s Industry X digital engineering and manufacturing tools to empower clients in building and customizing AI agents and pre-built models for applications like simulation and robotics. These advancements will streamline product development processes by automating feasibility, cost, and performance validation for new designs and engineering changes. Generative AI will play a key role in improving product lifecycle management (PLM), industrial equipment asset management, and remote operations, ultimately increasing productivity and innovation.
