Two senior professionals from ABB Electrification Service have been named to the Future of Field Service 2025 Stand Out 50 Leaders list. Dr Matthew Wise, who leads global strategy and business development, and Andressa Ferraz, who manages sustainability advisory services for the EMEA region, were selected for their practical work in reshaping how field services are delivered and how energy solutions are developed with customer needs in mind.

Their efforts have focused on helping clients deal with the challenges of the energy transition. Through updated service models and long-term partnerships, they’ve supported more efficient operations, encouraged circular practices, and worked to deliver real value to customers over time.

“This is a well-deserved recognition for both Matt and Andressa,” said Stuart Thompson, President of ABB Electrification Service. “They’ve shown what’s possible when service teams work directly with customers as long-term partners. Their focus on practical, effective solutions is helping clients meet performance goals and environmental targets at the same time. They’ve also made it easier for businesses to access new technologies and use them in a way that makes sense for real-world operations.”

Dr Wise has led several strategic initiatives that have expanded ABB’s innovation efforts, especially around digital platforms, energy storage, artificial intelligence, and edge computing. His work with startups like GridBeyond, Ndustrial, and Pratexo has strengthened ABB’s ability to provide tools for better asset management and real-time decision-making.

Ms Ferraz has played a key role in rolling out ABB’s Battery-Energy-Storage-Systems-as-a-Service (BESS-as-a-Service), which helps companies manage energy use more efficiently. The model allows customers to improve grid stability, lower energy expenses, and increase their use of renewables—while only paying for what they actually use. The Stand Out 50 list from Future of Field Service honors professionals who are changing the way field service operates—through real leadership, execution, and new ideas.
