Artech Welders to Showcase Electron Beam Welding Technology at IMTEX Forming 2026

Subhash Patwardhan, Managing Director

Artech Welders will participate in IMTEX Forming 2026, which will take place from January 21 to 25, 2026, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru. At the exhibition, the company will showcase its Electron Beam Welding (EBW) technology, along with a range of other welding solutions designed for industrial manufacturing needs.

IMTEX Forming is one of Asia’s major exhibitions for metal forming and welding technologies. Artech Welders has been a regular participant at the event, using the platform to present new technologies, meet customers, and understand market requirements. At the upcoming edition, the company aims to interact with manufacturers, suppliers, and decision-makers from different industries.

The main attraction at the Artech Welders booth will be its indigenously developed Electron Beam Welding machine. EBW is a highly accurate welding process used for applications where strength and precision are critical. It is commonly used in industries such as aerospace, medical equipment, satellites, defence, and high-performance engines, where even small errors are not acceptable.

Commenting on the company’s participation, Subhash Patwardhan, Managing Director, said that IMTEX has always been an important platform for Artech Welders. He explained that exhibitions like IMTEX help the company showcase new products, meet existing customers, and connect with new ones. According to him, direct interaction with users also helps the team understand industry challenges and offer better solutions.

Apart from Electron Beam Welding technology, Artech Welders will also display stud welding machines, capacitor discharge projection welding machines, and stud welding systems with automatic feeding. These machines are designed to improve productivity and ensure consistent weld quality in manufacturing operations.

Stud welding machines are widely used in applications where welding is required from only one side. These machines are commonly used in stainless steel cookware manufacturing, automotive parts, furniture production, electrical panels, and retail fittings. The process helps reduce production time while maintaining strong and reliable welds.

The capacitor discharge projection welding machines are suitable for high-speed and large-volume production. They are widely used in the automotive industry for welding parts such as filters, brackets, and shock absorber components. These machines are also used in stainless steel cookware manufacturing, where uniform weld quality is essential for product performance and safety.

Electron Beam Welding offers several advantages over conventional welding methods. Since the process is carried out in a vacuum chamber, it prevents oxidation and contamination during welding. This results in clean, strong, and defect-free welds with minimal heat impact on surrounding areas. EBW is also effective for welding difficult materials such as titanium, tantalum, and specialised alloys.

During the five-day exhibition, the Artech Welders team, including senior management and technical experts, will be available at the booth. Visitors can see machine demonstrations, ask technical questions, and discuss specific welding requirements based on their applications.

Founded in 1994, Artech Welders has been involved in developing and manufacturing advanced welding systems in India for several decades. The company has played a key role in introducing specialised welding technologies, including capacitor discharge welding, to the Indian market. By participating in IMTEX Forming 2026, Artech Welders aims to strengthen its presence in the industry, promote indigenous manufacturing, and support the growing demand for advanced and reliable welding solutions in India and overseas.
