Following the acquisition of Georg Fischer Group’s “Machining Solutions Division” by United Grinding Group—now operating as United Machining Solutions (UMS)—the Swiss Mikron Group (SIX: MIKN) and UMS have signed a new licensing agreement. The agreement covers the continued use of the Mikron Mill trademark, which Mikron has licensed to UMS’s new subsidiary for activities in the milling machine business formerly run by GF Machining Solutions.
The agreement maintains the long-standing licensing framework first established with GF in 2000, updated to reflect UMS’s new ownership of the division. It does not involve any structural or ownership links between Mikron and UMS. Mikron welcomes UMS’s commitment to carrying forward the strong reputation of the Mikron Mill brand as a benchmark of Swiss industrial expertise.
Mikron Group develops, manufactures, and markets high-precision, efficient, and flexible automation solutions, machining systems, and cutting tools.
