LTM, a global technology services company and part of the Larsen & Toubro Group, has announced the rollout of a comprehensive artificial intelligence learning program for its employees. The initiative introduces Universal AI, an online learning experience developed by MIT Open Learning, in collaboration with upGrad Enterprise.

The program is part of LTM’s broader strategy to strengthen AI literacy across its workforce, equipping employees in both technical and non-technical roles with the ability to apply structured reasoning and data-driven thinking in their work. By embedding foundational AI knowledge at scale, the company aims to enhance decision-making capabilities and drive innovation across client engagements.

Universal AI is a self-paced program designed by MIT faculty and structured to accommodate learners at all experience levels. It covers essential concepts such as how AI systems function, the technologies that power them, and the ethical considerations involved in their deployment. The curriculum includes multiple modules, allowing participants to build a well-rounded understanding of AI without requiring prior coding knowledge.

LTM leadership emphasized the importance of human judgment in the evolving AI landscape. As artificial intelligence continues to advance, organizations must ensure that employees are equipped not only with technical awareness but also with the ability to critically evaluate and apply AI solutions responsibly.

Through its partnership with upGrad Enterprise, the program will be deployed across LTM’s global workforce. upGrad Enterprise will facilitate access to the learning modules, enabling seamless integration into the company’s existing talent development framework. This collaboration is intended to accelerate workforce transformation and bridge capability gaps with speed and precision.

Upon completion of the program, employees will receive certification from MIT Open Learning, validating their understanding of AI fundamentals and readiness to contribute to AI-driven initiatives. The initiative reflects a growing emphasis on continuous learning and future-ready skills within the organization. By investing in large-scale upskilling, LTM aims to build a workforce capable of navigating the complexities of an AI-driven economy while delivering meaningful value to clients across industries.
