Venture Global and Vitol have entered into a binding agreement for the supply of approximately 1.5 million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas (LNG) over a five-year period, starting in 2026. Under the agreement, LNG will be supplied from Venture Global’s portfolio of production facilities in the United States. The deal reflects increasing global demand for flexible and reliable LNG supply as countries seek to diversify energy sources and enhance energy security.

The agreement allows Vitol to expand its LNG supply base and strengthen its ability to serve customers across different regions. The company has been active in LNG markets since the mid-2000s and maintains a diversified portfolio of supply contracts and infrastructure investments.

Venture Global, which began LNG production in 2022, has rapidly scaled its operations and is now among the largest exporters of LNG in the United States. The company’s integrated business model spans the entire LNG value chain, including production, transportation, shipping and regasification.

Its major projects, including facilities in Louisiana, contribute significantly to its growing capacity, which exceeds 100 MTPA across production, construction and development stages. The company is also investing in carbon capture and sequestration initiatives at its LNG facilities as part of its efforts to reduce emissions.

Vitol operates globally across energy and commodities markets, managing supply chains for oil, gas, power and other resources. In addition to trading, the company has invested over $13 billion in infrastructure assets worldwide, supporting long-term energy delivery.

In 2025, Vitol delivered more than 600 million tonnes of oil equivalent of energy and supplied significant volumes of LNG and natural gas to customers worldwide. Its global network of offices enables it to serve diverse markets with tailored energy solutions.

The agreement between Venture Global and Vitol highlights the continued growth of LNG as a key component of the global energy mix. By securing additional supply, Vitol aims to enhance its ability to meet customer demand, while Venture Global continues to expand its role as a major supplier in international LNG markets.
