Leaders from across the global technology and engineering ecosystem gathered for the Digital Engineering Awards gala, presented by L&T Technology Services (LTTS) in collaboration with ISG as the knowledge and research partner and CNBC-TV18 as the media partner. The event brought together industry executives, innovators, and engineering professionals from 17 countries across North America, Europe, and other regions to recognize outstanding achievements in digital engineering and technological innovation.
The awards program received a strong response from organizations and individuals worldwide. A total of 258 nominations were submitted by companies and engineering pioneers competing in two primary award tracks: Engineering The Change, which recognizes team achievements, and Engineer At Heart, which honours individual contributions. These nominations were evaluated across 12 award categories, reflecting the broad influence of engineering across industries.
The categories covered areas such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence impact, engineering product development, sustainability initiatives, and leadership in engineering innovation. The awards aim to highlight how engineering and technology continue to shape industries and drive real-world progress.
Among the organizations recognized during the event were several globally renowned companies including NVIDIA, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Etihad Rail, IKEA Retail (Ingka Group), Rockwell Automation, JLL, Shell, Philips, Fiserv, and The Estée Lauder Companies.
A distinguished jury panel reviewed the nominations using a set of carefully defined evaluation criteria. These included innovation, value creation, execution excellence, and measurable business impact. The judging panel featured experts from the technology and research community, including representatives from ISG, the MIT Media Lab, and leading global advisory organizations.
The panel included Steve Hall, Prashant Kelker, Matteo Gallina, and Rajeev Chatrath from ISG; Professor Hossein Rahnama from MIT Media Lab; private equity advisor Pieter Schoehuijs; and Vanessa Eriksson, founder and senior advisor at Vanessa Eriksson AB. As part of the awards program, the 57 finalists were invited to participate in an exclusive visit to the MIT Media Lab, where they experienced demonstrations of cutting-edge research and emerging technologies.
Todd Lavieri, Vice Chairman and President of ISG Americas and Asia Pacific, noted that this year’s awards reflected the growing role of artificial intelligence and digital engineering across industries. He emphasized that engineering innovation is increasingly driving tangible business results, particularly as organizations integrate AI technologies into their operations and products.
S Shivakumar, Chief Executive Officer of News18 Studios, highlighted the continued growth of the awards program, now in its fourth edition. He said the initiative has evolved to reflect changing industry trends while providing a platform for organizations and innovators to share transformative ideas and technological achievements.
Amit Chadha, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of L&T Technology Services, said the awards celebrate the powerful transformation underway as artificial intelligence converges with engineering intelligence. According to Chadha, this intersection is expected to accelerate innovation and deliver measurable benefits across multiple industries and everyday life.
The Digital Engineering Awards were established to recognize excellence in engineering research and development (ER&D) and to encourage organizations to translate innovative ideas into impactful solutions. The initiative is organized by L&T Technology Services in partnership with ISG, a global technology advisory firm, and CNBC-TV18, part of Network18, which serves as the media partner for the program.
By bringing together global innovators and engineering leaders, the awards aim to highlight the growing role of engineering in addressing complex technological challenges and building a smarter and more sustainable future.
