Renault Group has introduced “futuREady,” a new strategic roadmap designed to guide the company through the next phase of transformation in the global automotive industry. The plan outlines the Group’s approach to strengthening competitiveness, accelerating technology development and expanding its global footprint while maintaining long-term financial discipline.

The strategy builds on the progress achieved under Renaulution, the turnaround programme launched in 2021 that repositioned the company around a value-driven product strategy and clearer brand identities. Through Renaulution, Renault Group introduced 32 new models in five years and restored its position among Europe’s leading automobile manufacturers.

François Provost, Chief Executive Officer of Renault Group, said the new plan reflects the company’s ambition to remain competitive in an increasingly complex global environment. “futuREady marks an important step in Renault Group’s evolution,” Mr Provost said. “We are entering a period of stronger competition and rapid technological change, but we have solid foundations—our brands, our products and our financial strength. This plan will guide us toward sustainable performance while ensuring we continue to serve our customers with vehicles that combine innovation, affordability and environmental responsibility.”

The futuREady plan is built around four strategic pillars: growth ready, tech ready, excellence ready and trust ready. Under the growth ready pillar, Renault Group plans to launch 36 new models by 2030, including 22 in Europe and 14 for international markets. Sixteen of these will be fully electric vehicles. The company will also enhance the overall customer experience throughout the vehicle lifecycle, including after-sales services, financing solutions and digital connectivity.

The Renault brand aims to sell more than two million vehicles annually by 2030, with half of sales expected outside Europe. Electrification will remain central to the strategy, with fully electrified sales targeted in Europe and significant growth planned internationally.

Dacia will continue expanding its value-focused lineup while gradually increasing electrification, with two-thirds of its sales expected to be electrified by 2030. Alpine, the Group’s performance brand, will introduce a new generation of vehicles built on the Alpine Performance Platform, including the next iteration of the iconic A110 sports car.

The tech ready pillar focuses on advancing key technologies including electrification, software-defined vehicles and next-generation vehicle platforms. Renault Group plans to introduce a new electric platform capable of supporting multiple vehicle segments and body styles.

The platform will incorporate advanced battery technologies and software architecture designed to enable over-the-air updates for most vehicle functions. By integrating software, electronics and connectivity more deeply into its vehicles, the company aims to improve efficiency, reduce development time and enhance the user experience.

Under the excellence ready pillar, Renault Group plans to strengthen operational efficiency across manufacturing, supply chain management and product development. The company aims to shorten development cycles to two years while using digital tools and artificial intelligence to improve production efficiency.

New technologies such as industrial digital twins and robotics will be introduced to reduce production costs and improve quality control. The Group expects these initiatives to lower variable costs and increase productivity across its global manufacturing network.

The final pillar, trust ready, emphasizes collaboration with employees, suppliers and partners. Renault Group plans to invest in workforce development to help employees adapt to technological changes within the automotive industry.

The company will also deepen partnerships with suppliers and continue collaborating with global partners through strategic alliances. These partnerships play an important role in supporting innovation, improving supply chain resilience and expanding the Group’s global reach.

Renault Group expects these initiatives to reinforce its position as a leading European automotive manufacturer while strengthening its presence in growth markets such as India, South America and South Korea. Through the futuREady strategy, the company aims to deliver sustainable growth, technological leadership and improved customer experiences while maintaining its long-term commitment to accessible and environmentally responsible mobility solutions.
