Gas South has entered into a partnership with Oncourse Home Solutions to introduce optional home protection programs for homeowners across Georgia. The initiative is being launched during Gas South’s 20th anniversary year and is designed to help customers safeguard essential service lines that are typically not covered by standard homeowner insurance policies.

Through the new collaboration, Gas South customers will have access to protection plans covering water lines, sewer lines and natural gas lines. These service lines play a critical role in household operations, yet repairs or replacements are often the responsibility of homeowners when failures occur.

Service line problems can arise due to normal wear and tear, corrosion, shifting soil, tree root intrusion or unexpected blockages. When such issues occur, they can disrupt daily life by causing loss of running water, sewer backups or interruptions in gas service. Repair costs for underground service lines can be significant and often require specialized contractors and permits.

The protection programs introduced through the partnership are intended to provide homeowners with financial coverage and support in the event of such breakdowns. By enrolling in the program, homeowners can receive assistance in managing repair costs and coordinating professional repair services.

Gas South President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Greiner said the partnership reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting its customers beyond energy supply. According to Greiner, the program helps address critical infrastructure within homes that homeowners may not often think about but rely on every day.

The partnership also provides homeowners with access to Oncourse Home Solutions’ nationwide service network. The company has more than three decades of experience in home protection services and currently serves over two million homeowners across the United States. Oncourse Home Solutions reports that its programs collectively save customers approximately $100 million annually in repair costs by providing protection against unexpected breakdowns in essential home systems.

Aaron Cooper, Chief Executive Officer of Oncourse Home Solutions, said the collaboration with Gas South brings reliable home protection services to more communities while simplifying the repair process for homeowners. He noted that service line failures can create both financial stress and logistical challenges for homeowners, particularly when they must quickly find qualified contractors or manage complex repair processes.

Under the program, repairs are carried out by qualified professionals and are supported by a one-year repair warranty. Customers also receive access to dedicated support services that assist with scheduling repairs and coordinating necessary inspections or permits where required.

Gas South customers will receive program information through mailed materials outlining available protection plans and enrollment details. Homeowners can also obtain additional information through the program’s customer service channel or online enrollment platform.

Gas South, headquartered in Atlanta, serves nearly 500,000 residential, commercial, industrial and wholesale customers across the South, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions. Since its founding in 2006, the company has focused on delivering natural gas services while maintaining a commitment to customer care and community support. As part of its corporate giving initiatives, Gas South contributes five percent of its annual profits to support programs that assist children and families in need.

Oncourse Home Solutions, meanwhile, continues to expand its home protection offerings nationwide. The company’s services focus on helping homeowners manage maintenance and repair needs for critical home systems, providing financial protection and service coordination when unexpected problems arise. The new partnership between Gas South and Oncourse Home Solutions aims to provide homeowners with practical support for managing essential infrastructure repairs while helping reduce the financial burden associated with unexpected service line failures.
