Bajaj Auto has announced that Triumph Motorcycles has crossed the landmark of 1 lakh motorcycles on Indian roads, marking a significant moment for the premium motorcycle brand in the country. The achievement highlights the growing popularity of Triumph among Indian riders and reflects the rapid expansion of the brand since its collaboration with Bajaj Auto began in the second quarter of 2023.
The partnership has combined Triumph’s global engineering expertise with Bajaj Auto’s research and development, manufacturing capabilities, and nationwide distribution network. Since the launch of the collaboration, Triumph has strengthened its presence across the country, reaching more than 200 towns through a network of over 230 retail outlets and experience stores.
Over the past two and a half years, Triumph has focused not only on expanding its product portfolio but also on building a strong riding culture in India. The brand has actively engaged with its community through a range of curated riding experiences and events. Initiatives such as World of Triumph and the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride have brought riders together while promoting responsible motorcycling and community engagement.
In addition, Triumph has organised several riding programs and community events including Triumph Tiger Trails, Scrambler Rides, Bike Nights, and rides across the Western Ghats. These initiatives have helped strengthen the brand’s connection with enthusiasts while creating opportunities for riders to explore new destinations and experiences.
The Triumph 400 range, which is manufactured in India, has also found strong demand in global markets. These motorcycles are currently exported to 18 countries including Japan, Australia, Mexico, Taiwan, and South Korea. The international acceptance of the motorcycles reflects both the engineering standards of the product and the strength of India as a manufacturing hub.
Commenting on the milestone, Manik Nangia, President – Probiking at Bajaj Auto, said reaching 1 lakh Triumph motorcycles on Indian roads within a short span of 2.5 years represents a proud moment for the company. He noted that Triumph riders are passionate and discerning, and their response to the brand’s modern classic motorcycles has been extremely encouraging. He added that Bajaj Auto remains committed to strengthening the premium motorcycling ecosystem while continuing to build meaningful engagement with riders across India.
