Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, has achieved a cumulative EPC execution milestone of 10 GW, strengthening its position as one of India’s leading renewable energy EPC players. The company has commissioned a total of 10 GW of Engineering, Procurement and Construction projects to date, comprising 9.7 GW of solar capacity and 290 MW of wind capacity.

The commissioned portfolio includes both in-house and third-party developments, with 4.2 GW executed for Tata Power’s own renewable energy projects and 5.8 GW delivered for external customers. During the first nine months of FY26, TPREL commissioned 1.88 GW of renewable EPC capacity, marking a 33% rise compared to the 1.4 GW delivered during the same period of FY25.

The company said the performance reflects its project delivery strength, disciplined execution approach and focus on quality and safety across locations. Of the 1.88 GW commissioned in FY26 so far, 1,329 MW of solar capacity was executed for third-party customers, while 546 MW was completed for Tata Power’s own projects, including 187 MW of wind and 359 MW of solar.

These installations were delivered across multiple project sites in five states, in conditions that included difficult soil profiles and challenging weather environments. In Q3FY26 alone, TPREL commissioned 941 MW of renewable projects, its highest quarterly addition to date, representing 139% growth over the 393 MW installed in Q3FY25.

Key projects commissioned during the quarter included solar installations for NHPC, NLC and SJVNL in Bikaner, Rajasthan, developed to DCR compliance requirements, along with a 187 MW wind project in Karur, Tamil Nadu. The company stated that its ability to deliver consistently in complex conditions is supported by strong engineering practices, an efficient supply chain, agile project execution methods and long-standing vendor partnerships that help optimize delivery timelines and project costs.

Following these additions, TPREL’s total utility-scale operational renewable capacity stands at 6.0 GW, including 4.8 GW of solar and 1.2 GW of wind. The company also plans to commission 0.75 GW of utility-owned capacity during FY26.

Tata Power is a leading integrated power company with a diversified portfolio of 16.3 GW spanning generation, transmission, distribution, trading, storage and solar manufacturing. The company’s clean energy portfolio stands at 7.5 GW, representing 46% of total capacity, and it has set a Net Zero target of 2045.
