M1 Support Services has been awarded a contract modification valued at $601,135,303 to continue providing aviation maintenance and related support services for US Army flight training operations at Fort Rucker, Alabama. The modification extends work under the existing contract through January 15, 2027.
Under the contract, M1 supports organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance for more than 500 rotary-wing aircraft operated by the US Army and US Air Force. The fleet includes AH-64 Apache, UH-60 Black Hawk, CH-47 Chinook, UH-72 Lakota, and TH-1 helicopters. These aircraft are distributed across five primary airfields at Fort Rucker and support daily flight training operations.
M1’s scope of work supports up to 400 flight sorties per day and more than 200,000 flight hours annually. Operations are maintained on a continuous basis through a three-shift, 24-hour schedule staffed by more than 3,000 personnel, including maintenance technicians, aircrew members, and support staff.
George Krivo, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of M1 Support Services, said the company remains focused on ensuring aircraft readiness in support of Army aviation training. He noted that maintaining reliable aircraft availability is critical to preparing future Army aviators.
M1 provides aviation maintenance, operations, and training support across multiple branches of the U.S. military. The Fort Rucker program represents one of the largest and most complex aviation training operations supported by the company, both in terms of fleet size and daily operational tempo. According to M1, the scale and technical requirements of the program distinguish it from other aviation training efforts supported across the services.
M1 Support Services focuses exclusively on aviation support for the U.S. Department of Defense, allied forces, and partner nations. The company provides a range of services including maintenance, repair and overhaul, flight operations, logistics, training, and aircraft modification programs. M1 supports large-scale aviation programs that require sustained operations and long-term fleet readiness for military training and mission requirements.
