Jyoti Structures Limited, a listed Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company engaged in power transmission projects in over 50 countries, has started galvanisation operations at its second tower manufacturing unit in Nashik. The new unit has an annual production capacity of 36,000 metric tonnes and has commenced operations after completion of installation and testing of the galvanisation facilities.

With this milestone, the unit is now fully functional and forms part of the company’s overall manufacturing operations. The commissioning includes a new galvanising plant, installation of three CNC drilling machines, and refurbishment of existing CNC equipment, improving fabrication precision, production flow, and surface finishing.

Jyoti Structures’ first Nashik unit, which has been operational since August 2022 and also has a capacity of 36,000 metric tonnes per year, continues to support ongoing projects with stable capacity utilisation. With both units now operational, the total tower manufacturing capacity at Nashik has increased to about 72,000 metric tonnes, providing a strong base to support present and future transmission projects.

Commenting on the development, Rajesh Kumar Singh, CEO, Jyoti Structures Limited, said, “Starting galvanisation operations at our second Nashik unit strengthens our control over a key stage of tower manufacturing. As transmission projects become larger and more complex, dependable execution and in-house capabilities are increasingly important. This addition allows us to plan and deliver projects more efficiently while maintaining the required quality standards. Our priority remains consistent execution, effective risk management, and reliability across all phases of project delivery.”

The expanded facility will support execution of the company’s existing order book, including the 800 kV HVDC project awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. As previously disclosed to stock exchanges, Jyoti Structures’ order book stands at nearly ₹2,400 crore (excluding GST). The 800 kV HVDC project is valued at around ₹741 crore, including GST.

Jyoti Structures operates manufacturing facilities in Nashik and Raipur, along with a dedicated testing station and research and development centre in Maharashtra. The company follows ISO-certified systems for quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety. It has executed transmission projects across varied geographies and conditions for central and state utilities, public sector enterprises, and infrastructure developers.

Established in 1974, Jyoti Structures has over three decades of experience in executing turnkey power transmission projects. Its services cover design and engineering, consulting, tower testing, manufacturing, construction, and project management. The company also undertakes high-voltage substations, underground cabling, and optical fibre ground wire (OPGW) installations, supporting grid expansion and system reliability.
