KEC International Ltd, a leading global infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company and part of the RPG Group, has announced the receipt of new domestic orders valued at Rs 1,150 crores across its Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and Civil business segments. In the Transmission & Distribution vertical, KEC’s India operations have secured their single largest order to date from a well-established private-sector customer.
The scope of work includes the execution of a 765 kV transmission line project along with the construction of a 765/400 kV air-insulated substation. The substation will be delivered on a lump-sum turnkey (LSTK) basis, further strengthening the company’s position in high-voltage power infrastructure and renewable energy evacuation projects.
In addition to the T&D win, KEC’s Civil business has received an order for incremental civil and structural works for a 150 MW thermal power plant. The project has been awarded by a prominent private developer and reflects the company’s growing footprint in the thermal power infrastructure segment.
Commenting on the new orders, Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and CEO of KEC International Ltd, said the company was pleased to secure significant project wins in the domestic market. He highlighted that the large composite order in the T&D segment represents an important milestone, particularly in supporting renewable energy evacuation and increasing the proportion of private-sector clients in KEC’s India T&D order book.
He also noted that the Civil business continues to expand its presence in the thermal power plant space. With these additions, the company’s year-to-date order intake has crossed Rs. 18,000 crores, reinforcing confidence in achieving its full-year order intake objectives.
