Otovo USA announced the completion of its merger with Otovo ASA, bringing together two major players in residential and commercial energy services to form a unified global enterprise powered by an AI-driven service platform. The consolidated company, now operating under the single name Otovo, will serve customers across Europe and selected regions in the United States, offering an integrated suite of retail power, maintenance services, and grid participation solutions.
The company’s shares will continue to be listed on the Euronext Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker “OTOVO,” traded in Norwegian Krone (NOK). Plans for a secondary listing on a U.S. exchange are expected to move forward soon. To support the transition and future expansion, Otovo has raised $5 million through a fully underwritten private placement of new shares, providing capital for the growth of its service and maintenance business along with other corporate needs.
William J (John) Berger has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of the combined organization, while Andreas Thorsheim has taken on responsibilities as Chief Product Officer. Mr Berger described the merger as a defining moment for the company, noting that gaps in solar service and support have emerged after significant job losses in the industry over recent years. He stated that Otovo intends to address this need with a fast-response service model at competitive prices and aims to grow its current base of 45,000 homeowners to 250,000 active customers by 2028.
Mr Thorsheim emphasized that the new organizational structure enables Otovo to reach more than 30 million homeowners across the U.S. and Europe who already have energy systems installed. By combining its extensive European service network with an AI-first technology backbone, Otovo seeks to support customers needing reliable care for solar installations, battery systems, EV charging stations, and backup generators.
Otovo’s service model brings together retail power, ongoing operations support, and grid trading through a cloud-linked Virtual Power Plant designed to deliver dependable electricity and trustworthy maintenance. Its Endurance™ platform uses artificial intelligence to diagnose issues instantly and assign the appropriate service teams, connecting technicians, vehicles, and installed devices into a coordinated, real-time network. Customers can track service progress live, while improved routing and deployment help increase first-time repair success and reduce travel time.
Berger added that as the company evolves into a broader provider for both homes and businesses, the combined scale and AI precision will continue to enhance service speed and reliability. The expanded network of technicians and connected equipment will enable Otovo to deliver higher performance with lower service costs, strengthening its position in the growing energy-services market.
Otovo operates as an AI-native energy services provider in Europe and the United States. Its integrated platform continuously monitors customer equipment, ensures rapid maintenance when issues arise, provides stable power, and supports participation in the broader energy grid. Endurance™, the company’s technology engine, manages the entire process from detection to repair, ensuring timely and coordinated service. Its promise remains: “Your Power, Backed by Ours.”
