Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited (BCSSL), a rising player in AI, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, and advanced 5G technologies, has finalized a Joint Venture (JV) with Byte Eclipse Technologies Inc, USA, following their earlier collaboration agreement. This JV will oversee the design, production, and global commercialization of a new Edge-AI microprocessor family based on proprietary intellectual property transferred through a Technology Transfer agreement with an Israeli R&D partner.
Under this partnership, BCSSL will lead the design and manufacturing of a next-generation Edge-AI chipset, code-named EclipseX1, engineered for high-reliability, low-latency applications. Byte Eclipse will leverage its sales network across the US and Europe to introduce the chipset in markets such as industrial automation, automotive telematics and control systems, and EV charging infrastructure.
The JV will run for an initial five-year term, granting Byte Eclipse exclusive commercialization rights within defined sectors in the US and European regions. The companies estimate a business potential of USD 65–80 million over the JV period, covering chip sales, licensing, and integration services.
The EclipseX1 platform is built around a custom System-on-Chip that combines a multicore RISC-V processor with an integrated Neural Processing Unit, enabling efficient on-device AI computation. Engineered for high performance, it delivers up to 12 TOPS of AI processing power while keeping energy consumption below 10 watts, making it suitable for demanding yet power-sensitive edge environments.
Security is embedded directly into the architecture through a dedicated engine featuring TEE/HSM capabilities to ensure trusted execution and secure data handling. The chipset also offers native support for TensorFlow Lite and ONNX, allowing seamless deployment of modern embedded AI models across a wide range of applications. This collaboration strengthens Blue Cloud’s semiconductor roadmap and positions the company among the few Indian firms with full-stack capabilities spanning chip design, AI firmware, and cloud analytics.
Janaki Yarlagadda, Chairman of BCSSL, emphasized that the JV harnesses Israeli technology transfer to power India-led semiconductor development, enabling global deployment of advanced AI chipsets for industrial, automotive, and energy applications. Byte Eclipse Technologies, based in the United States, specializes in embedded systems, cloud analytics, and AI-powered IoT frameworks supporting smart manufacturing and connected mobility across North America and Europe.
