ACME Solar Holdings Limited has been declared the successful bidder for 130 MW in REMC Limited’s 1,000 MW Round-the-Clock renewable energy tender, following an e-reverse auction. The company quoted a tariff of ₹4.35 per unit, and the Letter of Award is expected to follow as per the tender schedule. The power generated under this bid will be supplied directly to Indian Railways, which requires a steady energy profile throughout the day due to its unique and continuous load pattern. The Railways will sign the Power Purchase Agreement directly with the developers, with no intermediary involved.

The tariff discovered highlights the ability of renewable energy—supported by complementary wind capacity and battery systems—to deliver high-availability power at competitive prices. As part of its obligations, ACME Solar will supply renewable energy backed by dispatchable sources and/or energy storage from ISTS-connected facilities to ensure firm, round-the-clock output. The tender requires a minimum annual availability of 75% for the initial three years from commissioning and 85% thereafter. Meeting these requirements will involve a combination of solar, battery storage and additional wind capacity where needed. ACME Solar plans to commission the project within 30 months of signing the PPA, supported by existing land banks and ready connectivity across its portfolio.

ACME Solar Holdings Limited is a major renewable energy company with projects across solar, wind, storage, FDRE and hybrid systems. It has 2,934 MW of operational contracted capacity and 4,456 MW under construction, including 13.5 GWh of battery storage.
