The WAGNER Group GmbH has received the prestigious GIT SECURITY AWARD 2026 in the “Fire Protection” category for its pioneering fire prevention system, the OxyReduct® F-Line. This advanced solution prevents the ignition of fires by lowering oxygen levels in protected spaces under defined safety conditions.

Building on established oxygen reduction techniques, the F-Line version incorporates hydrogen-powered fuel cell technology, making it possible to operate the system with zero carbon emissions. What sets this innovation apart is its fusion of continuous fire prevention with an independent, environmentally friendly energy source. This represents a major advancement in fire safety, offering protection that doesn’t compromise on sustainability.

Designed for critical environments where downtime or damage must be avoided at all costs, the system is particularly effective in fully automated warehouses, cold storage facilities, data centers, and archival storage — areas where traditional suppression methods often fall short. By maintaining a reduced-oxygen atmosphere, the system stops fires from starting and eliminates the risk of damage caused by water or chemical extinguishing agents.

The award, voted on by industry professionals and security experts, highlights both the technological achievement and WAGNER’s forward-thinking approach in aligning environmental responsibility with safety goals. The OxyReduct® F-Line sets a new benchmark in modern fire protection solutions.

Headquartered in Langenhagen, Germany, the WAGNER Group has specialized in comprehensive fire protection since 1976. With a workforce of around 800 employees spread across 25 offices in 15 countries, the company has become a leader in the development and deployment of advanced safety systems. WAGNER’s reputation for innovation is backed by dedicated research, internal R&D teams, numerous patents, and recognized system certifications.

Its excellence in innovation was also recognized with the TOP 100 Award, positioning WAGNER among Germany’s leading mid-sized technology firms. WAGNER’s expertise spans across four key areas: early fire detection (TITANUS®), proactive fire prevention (OxyReduct®), targeted fire suppression (FirExting®), and integrated hazard management (VisuLAN®), delivering customized, high-performance solutions for a wide range of industries.
