Brightcom Group has entered into a strategic partnership with U.S.-based CQT Weapon Systems, aiming to jointly create advanced defence technologies. The collaboration will combine Brightcom’s AI and software capabilities with CQT’s experience in manufacturing military-grade hardware.
The agreement, formalised through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), marks a major step forward for Brightcom’s growing defence division. As part of this development, Brightcom Defence has also introduced its new line of homegrown unmanned aerial systems, along with Maestro OS — a smart operating system designed for military applications and autonomous platforms.
Brightcom’s Board of Directors reviewed the initiative in its recent meeting, underlining its importance to the company’s long-term strategy. In light of this, the scheduled Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 28, 2025, has been postponed to allow for shareholder input on this direction. A new date for the AGM will be communicated soon.
The company has unveiled a new lineup of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) designed to meet a wide range of operational needs. Leading the range is Raven, a long-range drone built for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, offering extended endurance and reliable performance for critical data-gathering operations.
Complementing Raven is the Helix Series, a family of compact, high-speed drones created for tactical operations where speed and maneuverability are essential. Also part of the lineup is Thunderbolt, a precision strike platform engineered for offensive missions that require accuracy and minimal collateral impact.
Rounding out the offering are Tiburon and Mini Tiburon, fixed-wing reconnaissance UAVs tailored for missions of different scales. All systems are fully compatible with Maestro OS, the central control architecture that ensures seamless integration, mission coordination, and operational efficiency across the fleet.
This move positions Brightcom to tap into a rapidly evolving defence tech landscape. The global demand for AI-driven military systems is expected to exceed USD 35 billion by 2034. In India, rising defence spending and strong emphasis on indigenous innovation are further driving the need for locally developed smart combat solutions.
Brightcom Group, with a legacy of over 27 years in innovation, has worked with some of the world’s top brands, including Coca-Cola, Samsung, and Vodafone, to create impactful digital campaigns. The company’s expansion into aerospace intelligence and autonomous systems is a strategic move to build on its strengths and diversify into high-growth sectors while maintaining focus on its core business.
Brightcom’s new initiative reflects the company’s commitment to diversification and innovation, as it continues to build on its strengths in AI, machine learning, and real-time computing to create meaningful value in emerging technologies. The company is poised for further growth, supported by significant investments and a global footprint that spans North America, South America, Israel, and Europe.
