ACME Solar has placed an order for 2 GWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with Chuzhou Lishen New Energy Technology, through POSCO International Corporation and China FAW Group Import and Export Co, Ltd. The order will be supplied in phases over the next 6 to 10 months and deployed across ACME Solar’s Firm & Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) projects as well as standalone BESS projects, scheduled for commissioning within 12 to 18 months.
According to Nikhil Dhingra, CEO of ACME Solar, “With this latest order, our cumulative BESS procurement has crossed 5 GWh, following a 3.1 GWh order placed in July 2025. This ensures timely availability of storage systems, helping de-risk project timelines and accelerate delivery.”
Jason Lee, Director of POSCO International, said “India represents the most promising BESS market in the world. This partnership with ACME enables us to expand our presence and strengthen our business activities in the country.” Lu TianJun, General Manager of Lishen, added “This agreement allows us to contribute to India’s clean energy expansion while reinforcing our long-term growth in advanced energy storage solutions.”
