Lubrizol has announced the appointment of Abhishek Shrivastava as Managing Director for the India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA) region, effective September 1st. Shrivastava will be responsible for overseeing the company’s operations across these key markets.

With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Mr Shrivastava has a strong background in business transformation, R&D, manufacturing technology, and quality management. Before this role, he served as Vice President of Innovation and Decision Science at Lubrizol, where he led efforts on innovation platforms and sustainable product development.

Rebecca Liebert, Lubrizol’s President and CEO, highlighted Mr Shrivastava’s technical expertise and his ability to align innovation with customer needs as key factors in his appointment. She emphasized that the IMEA region plays a critical role in the company’s future growth strategy.

In his new role, Mr Shrivastava will focus on executing the regional growth strategy, with a strong emphasis on developing local teams and adopting a “local-for-local” business approach. His key objectives include identifying market-specific opportunities, strengthening ties with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders across India, the Middle East, and Africa. Mr Shrivastava also outlined plans to drive localized innovation and forge regional partnerships to meet the unique demands of these markets, underscoring Lubrizol’s ongoing commitment to expanding its footprint in emerging regions.
