Jindal Mobilitric Aims to Expand EV Dealership Network to 100 by Next Year

Ahmedabad-based electric vehicle manufacturer Jindal Mobilitric is preparing for a major retail expansion, targeting 100 dealerships across India by the end of next year. Currently operating with 35 dealers, the company is stepping up its presence in anticipation of product rollout.

A subsidiary of Jindal Worldwide, a prominent name in the textile sector, Jindal Mobilitric has set up a modern manufacturing unit in Ahmedabad with a production capacity of 2.5 lakh electric vehicles annually. Complementing this, the company has also established an in-house battery production facility with matching output, aimed at enhancing product quality and supply chain control.

The company recently showcased its electric two-wheeler, which offers a range of 165 km on a single charge. The model has been submitted for homologation and is awaiting final approval from relevant authorities.

“As soon as regulatory approvals are received, we will launch our vehicles through the dealership network we’ve built,” said a company representative. “The in-house battery plant is a step toward ensuring superior battery safety and boosting confidence in electric mobility solutions.”

By integrating battery production within its operations, the company is focusing on key factors such as safety, quality assurance, and long-term reliability, which are vital for mass EV adoption in the Indian market.
