Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has announced fresh orders worth ₹585 crore since its last update on June 5. The newly acquired contracts cover a range of equipment and services, including fire control systems, missile sighting solutions, communications gear, electronic jammers, critical spare parts, and related technical support.
In addition to these orders, BEL recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Tata Electronics on June 6. The collaboration is aimed at advancing India’s semiconductor and electronics manufacturing capabilities. The two companies will explore opportunities in chip design, fabrication, and outsourced semiconductor assembly and testing (OSAT), supporting the country’s broader strategy for self-sufficiency in high-technology sectors.
These developments follow a major ₹2,323 crore order awarded to BEL by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders and Garden Reach Shipbuilders earlier this month. That deal involves the supply of base- and depot-level spares for missile systems installed on Indian Navy platforms, strengthening the Navy’s operational preparedness and logistics support.
With the addition of these new contracts, BEL has secured close to ₹3,500 crore in orders so far in June 2025, underlining its continued role in supporting India’s defence infrastructure and indigenous technology capabilities.
Earlier this month, on June 4, BEL disclosed additional orders worth ₹537 crore. These include communication systems, composite shipborne communication platforms, signal jammers, simulator upgrades, testing equipment, software, and related spares. Together, these orders enhance the company’s portfolio in key defence technology domains and further its manufacturing reach in critical defence segments.
