Toyo Engineering Corporation (Toyo Japan) and MODEC, Inc (MODEC) have officially opened their new Global Capability Centre (GCC), TOYO MODEC OFS India Private Ltd (OFS India), located in Bengaluru. The facility, which currently employs close to 200 people, has plans to grow its team to 750 in the next three years, focusing on hiring engineers in mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation fields.
OFS India is a joint venture created in 2022 between Toyo Engineering India Private Ltd (Toyo India), a subsidiary of Toyo Japan, and Offshore Frontier Solutions Pte. Ltd. (OFS), a company within the MODEC Group. The centre also intends to incorporate procurement services in the near future.
Speaking at the inauguration, Takashi Kawahara, Managing Director of Toyo India and Chairman of OFS India, highlighted the significance of the new hub. “This facility will play a crucial role in supporting global projects, enhancing our engineering capabilities, and driving digital transformation. It marks our long-term commitment to India, generating hundreds of quality jobs and reinforcing the country’s position as a global centre for engineering and innovation,” he said. Mr Kawahara also noted that the company is looking to hire both senior and junior engineers with a range of skills to meet the growing demand.
