Gyproc India, a leader in sustainable building solutions, recently hosted the national finale of its inaugural design competition, Beyond Dimensions with Gyproc, in Mumbai. The competition was launched with the aim of inspiring the next generation of architects and interior designers to integrate sustainability into their designs. Focused on empowering young professionals, the initiative emphasizes the importance of sustainable construction and future-ready practices.
With more than 800 teams from over 120 colleges across India, the challenge consisted of two phases. The final round featured 230 unique submissions, with the top 8 teams presenting their innovative ideas to a panel of esteemed judges: Ar Kavitha Selvaraj (Trilogue Studio), Ar Manish Dikshit (Aum Architects), and Shailee Goswami (Saint-Gobain Research India).
The top three winning teams of the Beyond Dimensions design challenge include Anurag Singh and Kashish Gala from Rachana Sansad Academy of Architecture in Mumbai, Afeefah Hoda and Keerthi S from RVS Padmavathy School of Architecture in Chennai, and Naveen Raja and Mohamed Yahya, also from RVS Padmavathy School of Architecture in Chennai. As part of their prize, the winning teams will embark on an international study tour to Dubai, exploring best practices in green construction and sustainable architecture. All finalists will also gain access to the IGBC Certification Course on Green Built Environment to further enhance their knowledge.
