Waaree Energies Limited has been named a “Top Performer” in the 2025 PV Module Reliability Scorecard, published by Kiwa PVEL, an independent laboratory renowned for its global photovoltaic reliability testing. The Mumbai-based company earned this distinction by having at least one solar module model perform exceptionally well across all seven categories in the evaluation.

The scorecard assessment is based on Kiwa PVEL’s rigorous Product Qualification Program, which subjects solar modules to accelerated stress tests designed to simulate long-term field conditions. These tests include Thermal Cycling, Damp Heat exposure, Mechanical Stress Sequence testing, and Potential Induced Degradation analysis.

Dr Amit Paithankar, Whole-time Director and CEO of Waaree Energies, highlighted that the award underscores the company’s shift from a pure manufacturing focus to a broader clean energy solutions provider. Kiwa PVEL’s VP of Sales and Marketing, Tristan Erion-Lorico, noted that Waaree’s top-tier performance across all categories reflects its unwavering commitment to excellence in both engineering and manufacturing processes.

As India’s largest solar module producer, Waaree Energies boasts a global manufacturing capacity of around 15 gigawatts, including plants in India and a 1.6 GW facility in Texas. The company also has 1.4 GW of solar cell production capacity, with plans to expand this to 5.4 GW.

Kiwa PVEL’s annual scorecard serves as a key benchmark for assessing the reliability of solar modules globally, evaluating manufacturers’ products under stress conditions that simulate real-world, long-term use. This recognition comes as Waaree continues to strengthen its global presence in the renewable energy market, further solidifying its position as a leading provider of utility-scale solar solutions alongside its manufacturing operations.
