Senvion India has confirmed an order from Continuum Green Energy for 100 wind turbine generators, totaling 420 megawatts (MW) of capacity. The order, originally signed in September 2024, included a commitment for 50 turbines and an additional 50 turbines as options, all of which have now been fully confirmed, the company announced.

The turbines are set for delivery starting in April 2026 and will be installed at various project locations, identified by Senvion and developed by Continuum. The 4.2M160 series Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) are advanced onshore turbines developed through a collaboration between India and Germany, designed to operate efficiently in diverse wind conditions. Over 85% of the components will be produced in India.

Amit Kansal, CEO and Managing Director of Senvion India, stated, “These turbines are specifically engineered for India’s wind environment. With a target of 2GW capacity by 2026, Senvion aims to deploy these turbines widely across India, supporting local employment and contributing to the country’s energy security.” The company did not disclose the value of the order.
