Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS) has inaugurated the AISATS BLR Logistics Park at Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR Airport). Representing a significant milestone for India’s logistics and cargo infrastructure, the facility is one of the largest on-airport logistics hubs in South India, constructed with an investment of INR 200 crores.

BLR Airport is India’s third busiest, handling 40% of the total air cargo volume from South India, and achieving its highest-ever cargo tonnage of 502,480 MT in FY’25. The facility aims to handle 1 million metric tonnes of cargo by 2030. The launch of the AISATS BLR Logistics Park is a crucial step in enhancing cargo handling capabilities and improving operational efficiency to meet the increasing demand for fast, seamless, and sustainable cargo services.

Spanning 8 acres, the AISATS BLR Logistics Park is designed to be a key enabler of regional trade. It includes three distinct buildings: a two-level main warehouse of over 240,000 sq. ft., offering Grade A warehousing for freight forwarders, express couriers, and logistics providers; a public bonded warehouse of 11,000 sq. ft. for Customs clearance; and an office block of 24,000 sq. ft. for logistics companies and service providers. The park will also provide trucking services to facilitate smooth and efficient cargo movement between the Logistics Park and the Cargo Terminals at BLR Airport.

Focused on sustainability, the park incorporates eco-friendly features such as rainwater harvesting, natural light optimization, energy-efficient LED lighting, and a waste management system based on the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle.

In a statement, Nipun Aggarwal, Chairman of AISATS, highlighted that the new facility aligns with India’s infrastructure-driven economic growth ambitions. He emphasized that the logistics park will contribute to Bengaluru’s and Karnataka’s roles as key hubs for innovation in logistics and trade, supporting Air India’s mission to provide seamless cargo connectivity across India.

Mr. Bob Chi, CEO of APAC Gateway Services at SATS, remarked on the park’s role in bolstering Bengaluru’s air cargo capabilities, accelerating global supply chains, and enhancing SATS’ hub operations worldwide.

Ramanathan Rajamani, CEO of AISATS, reaffirmed AISATS’ dedication to improving India’s logistics sector by offering cutting-edge infrastructure to drive growth and facilitate smooth cargo movement, further cementing Bengaluru’s position as a major trade and logistics hub.

Hari Marar, MD & CEO of Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), emphasized the strategic partnership between AISATS and BIAL, underscoring the park’s importance in advancing the growing cargo ecosystem at Kempegowda International Airport.

The launch also supports AISATS’ broader expansion strategy, complementing the upcoming Multi-Modal Cargo Hub at Noida International Airport. With continued focus on infrastructure, digital innovation, and sustainable solutions, AISATS is reinforcing India’s position as a leader in global logistics.
