Jindal (India) Limited, a prominent player in India’s steel manufacturing sector and part of the renowned BC Jindal Group, has successfully received the Product Certificate of Conformity (PCOC) for its Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) pipes. This certification is a mandatory requirement for exporting these products to Saudi Arabia.

The certification was granted following a detailed virtual audit conducted on April 9, 2025, by Verger Global—an authorized inspection body of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO). The audit assessed various aspects including production systems, quality assurance processes, and product testing at the company’s Jangalpur facility in West Bengal.

In a statement following the achievement, a company spokesperson said, “This certification marks a significant milestone for us. It validates our adherence to international standards and highlights the dedication of our team to maintaining world-class quality in all aspects of production.”

The PCOC (Certificate No 70066-100-25-1879122), issued on April 11, 2025, is valid for one year and allows Jindal (India) Limited to supply ERW pipes to Saudi Arabia. The certificate confirms compliance with the SASO Technical Regulation for Building Materials – Part 5, which applies to pipes used in water, electricity, and gas networks. This recognition enhances Jindal (India) Limited’s ability to serve critical infrastructure and industrial sectors in Saudi Arabia, reinforcing its position as a trusted global supplier of high-quality steel solutions.
