Paras Defence & Space Technologies Ltd has announced that it has been awarded a Rs 142.31 crore contract by the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) Centre for High Defence Systems & Sciences (CHESS). The contract is for the development of an advanced high-powered anti-drone laser system.
CHESS, a division of DRDO, is tasked with developing cutting-edge defence technologies. Paras Defence is proud to be the first Indian company to design and develop such a high-tech solution, with the project scheduled to be completed in 24 months.

The project includes the development of a laser source module, as well as the integration of a beam control system on a mobile platform, intended for use in anti-drone and anti-missile applications.
