TKIL Industries Pvt Ltd (previously known as thyssenkrupp Industries India Pvt. Ltd.), a key player in industrial engineering and manufacturing, is proud to announce that its manufacturing facility in Hyderabad has been awarded a Five-Star rating in the Occupational Health and Safety Audit conducted by the British Safety Council. This recognition follows the same honor for its Pimpri Manufacturing Plant, highlighting TKIL Industries’ dedication to workplace safety, effective risk management, and continuous operational improvement, setting industry standards.

The Hyderabad facility, operational since 1988, specializes in fabricating equipment for industries such as sugar plants, mining and material handling systems, cement plants, boilers, and power plants. Employing around 720 people, including contract workers, the plant also undertakes turnkey EPC projects.

The audit at the Hyderabad plant involved a thorough and structured assessment of its occupational health and safety policies, processes, and practices. It included a review of documentation, interviews with senior management and employees, and on-site inspections. The evaluation measured performance against best-practice indicators such as leadership commitment, stakeholder engagement, risk management, safety culture, and continuous improvement. Nearly 50 aspects of health and safety management were reviewed.

Following this extensive evaluation, TKIL Industries received a five-star rating, recognizing its adherence to best practices. Mike Robinson, CEO of the British Safety Council, commented, “Achieving a five-star rating in our occupational health and safety audit is an exceptional accomplishment and demonstrates a proactive approach to continuous improvement in health and safety, managing risks to worker health, safety, and well-being.”
