Insolation Green Energy Board Approves Land Allotment from Madhya Pradesh Government

Insolation Green Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Insolation Energy, has approved a land allotment proposal from the Government of Madhya Pradesh, as detailed in the Letter of Intent (LOI) dated December 7, 2024. The 45-acre parcel, located in the Power and Renewable Energy Equipment Zone in Mohasa, Babai, District Narmadapuram, will be used to set up a manufacturing unit for Solar PV Modules, Solar Cells, and Aluminum Frames.

These include a one-time lease premium for land set at a nominal ₹1 per square meter, along with annual lease rent and development charges at ₹21 per square meter. Such measures significantly lower initial project costs and encourage long-term commitments from industries.

Additional incentives include a capital subsidy of up to 40% on capital expenditure, further reducing the financial burden of setting up operations. Employment subsidies are also available to support job creation and boost exports, aligning with the state’s focus on economic development and workforce empowerment. Moreover, fixed electricity rates at ₹4.36 per unit and water supply at ₹25 per kiloliter provide operational cost advantages, ensuring the project remains financially viable.

This initiative supports Insolation Green Energy’s ambitious goal of achieving $1 billion in revenue. The proposed facility, its fourth manufacturing plant, will be constructed in two phases and is designed to scale the company’s production capabilities. The plant will feature state-of-the-art manufacturing capacities, including 3 GW for solar cell production and 4 GW for solar module manufacturing, underscoring its focus on high-volume output.
