Automotive components manufacturer Belrise Industries has submitted its draft papers to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to raise ₹2,150 crore via an initial public offering (IPO). The IPO will consist solely of newly issued equity shares, with no offer-for-sale (OFS) component, as outlined in the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP).
The company may also explore a pre-IPO placement of up to ₹430 crore, which would reduce the total issue size if undertaken. According to the draft papers filed on Tuesday, Belrise plans to allocate ₹1,618 crore from the proceeds toward reducing its debt.
As of June 2024, the company reported total borrowings of ₹2,463 crore.
