Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has unveiled updates to its HPE GreenLake cloud platform, enhancing hybrid cloud management and enabling faster, more efficient solutions for virtualized, cloud-native, and AI workloads. These innovations simplify operations in hybrid IT environments and drive agility and scalability for enterprises.

HPE VM Essentials is a versatile virtual machine (VM) management platform designed to streamline operations in hybrid IT environments. It provides businesses with flexibility in managing their virtualized workloads by integrating existing setups with it’s new VME hypervisor.

Key features include support for multiple storage protocols, live migration, distributed workload placement, high availability, and integrated data protection. By adopting the GreenLake cloud alongside VM Essentials, businesses can achieve up to five times lower total cost of ownership (TCO).

The Alletra Storage MP X10000 is a cutting-edge object storage solution tailored for enterprises requiring high-speed data access at an exabyte scale. Offering up to six times faster performance than competitors, it features a multi-protocol, disaggregated architecture that simplifies management of block, file, and object storage. This innovation helps enterprises reduce costs by up to 40% while enhancing storage fleet management across hybrid systems.

To support industries with strict data sovereignty requirements, HPE has introduced air-gapped solutions, including the Private Cloud Enterprise Disconnected and Alletra Storage MP Disconnected. These technologies provide a secure, cloud-like experience for locations without internet access. Authorized partners can also offer region-specific sovereign cloud services powered by GreenLake.

The company, in collaboration with NVIDIA, continues to innovate in AI workload management. Through its Unleash AI program, It has onboarded six new partners, enabling tailored solutions for advanced AI use cases like secure generative AI systems and intelligent video analytics. Deloitte has also deepened its collaboration with it to deploy AI-driven solutions such as C-Suite AI.

HPE has outlined the availability of its latest innovations, with HPE VM Essentials set to launch in December 2024, followed by expanded integrations planned for Spring 2025. The HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 will also debut in December 2024, with additional AI-focused enhancements arriving by Summer 2025.

Disconnected solutions, including private cloud and storage offerings for regulated environments, are expected to roll out between early and mid-2025. With these advancements, HPE reinforces its commitment to delivering future-ready solutions that address hybrid, cloud-native, and AI workloads, ensuring customers can unlock maximum value from their data.
