Henkel Adhesives Technologies India posted a 3.3% year-over-year organic sales increase for the third quarter of 2024, achieving approximately €5.5 billion in group sales. This growth was driven by effective pricing strategies and robust demand across Henkel’s key business segments. In nominal terms, sales grew by 1.0% compared to Q3 2023, demonstrating resilience despite challenging global market conditions.
Henkel’s largest division, Adhesive Technologies, led the way with a 3.7% organic sales growth, boosted by increased demand in sectors such as Mobility & Electronics, Packaging & Consumer Goods, and Craftsmen, Construction & Professional segments.
Carsten Knobel, CEO of Henkel, highlighted the continued success and growth of the company, noting, “We’ve maintained our momentum, delivering solid growth in the third quarter while driving Henkel’s further development. Both our business units have contributed to this performance.” He also pointed out that Henkel’s strong gross margins allowed for increased investments in core brands and business areas, aligning with the company’s broader growth strategy.
In line with its sustainability goals, Henkel reaffirmed its commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2045. The company’s climate strategy, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative, supports the global effort to limit the rise in global temperatures to 1.5°C, as outlined in the Paris Climate Agreement. Knobel emphasized, “We all have a responsibility to limit global warming,” further reinforcing Henkel’s leadership in sustainability.
Looking ahead to the full year of 2024, Henkel anticipates organic sales growth of 2.5% to 4.5% across the group, with Adhesive Technologies projected to grow between 2.0% and 4.0%. The Consumer Brands unit is expected to see a 3.0% to 5.0% organic sales increase. Henkel remains confident about achieving the upper end of its earnings forecasts, citing strong performance year-to-date and ongoing investments in brand innovation and sustainability.
Henkel’s performance in India reflects its global growth strategy, with the Adhesive Technologies division continuing to be a key driver of the company’s success while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility.
