Atlas Copco Unveils Energy-Saving Wastewater Treatment Solutions at IFAT India 2024

Atlas Copco, a global leader in compressors, vacuum solutions, and industrial equipment, showcased its advanced wastewater treatment technologies at IFAT India 2024. The company highlighted its energy-efficient blowers and low-pressure compressors designed to reduce CO2 emissions and lower operational costs while delivering eco-friendly solutions for wastewater management.

Atlas Copco presented a range of products including the ZS blowers, ZB VSD+ high-speed turbo blowers, and ZM multistage centrifugal air blowers and exhausters. Each product is tailored for specific wastewater treatment applications, providing enhanced control, improved energy efficiency, and minimal maintenance requirements.

All these systems come with advanced controllers and remote monitoring capabilities, enabling operators to optimize performance, prevent breakdowns, and ensure reliable and efficient treatment processes. Alexander Pavlov, General Manager of Atlas Copco Compressors Customer Center in India, emphasized the importance of energy efficiency in wastewater treatment: “Aerobic processes can consume up to 70% of a plant’s energy. Reducing energy costs is critical to lowering both operational expenses and CO2 emissions. Our blowers and compressors are engineered to deliver fast payback and high efficiency, ensuring reliable, sustainable wastewater treatment.”
