RMC Switchgears Limited has been awarded an EPC and O&M contract worth ₹201 crores as the lead partner in a consortium for a solar power project aimed at solarizing agricultural feeders in Maharashtra. The contract was secured through a competitive bidding process, including an e-reverse auction. This marks a major achievement for RMC as it continues to expand into the renewable energy sector.
The consortium will handle three distinct EPC and 3-year O&M contracts in the Ahmednagar district, with a total project value of ₹201 crores, including GST. These projects strengthen RMC Switchgears’ presence in the renewable energy market and contribute to India’s climate commitments under the Paris Agreement. RMC is pursuing additional tenders exceeding 500 MWp and aims to achieve 1 GWp in renewable energy.
With collaboration across multiple states and a skilled in-house team, RMC is at the forefront of green energy, reducing carbon emissions, promoting economic growth, and supporting India’s goal of 450 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. The company’s ongoing efforts align with India’s environmental targets and underline RMC’s role in driving innovation and sustainability.
