Balu Forge Industries Ltd (BFIL), a leader in precision engineering and crankshaft manufacturing, has announced the acquisition of 7-Axis CNC machining technology. The advanced machines will be introduced gradually, starting this quarter, to position BFIL among elite companies offering high-end machining solutions across industries like aerospace, defense, and railways.

The acquisition of these state-of-the-art machines from a renowned German manufacturer allows BFIL to machine parts up to 3 meters in length and work with materials ranging from aluminum to titanium. This expansion will boost BFIL’s ability to produce critical precision components, including turbine parts, aircraft frames, engine components, and locomotive structures, further enhancing its product portfolio.

The new technology also facilitates greater material efficiency, enhanced precision, and the ability to machine complex geometries in a single setup. Balu Forge aims to strengthen its presence in key sectors, aligning with its long-term vision of transitioning from a pure forging company to a full-scale precision engineering firm, delivering value-added, fully machined parts to global markets. Trimaan Chandock, Executive Director of BFIL, emphasized that this move reflects the company’s strategy to offer specialized engineering solutions to niche industries, paving the way for future growth.

Founded in 1989, BFIL produces finished and semi-finished crankshafts and forged components, catering to a wide range of industries such as automotive, defense, oil & gas, railways, and marine. With a robust global distribution network, BFIL continues to serve key sectors with high-quality, precision-engineered products.
