Eaton Highlights Hazardous Area Solutions at Automation Expo 2024

Eaton, a leading player in power management solutions, has announced that it will be showcasing its latest innovations at the Automation Expo 2024, which will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Center in Mumbai from August 21st to 24th, 2024. At this prestigious event, the company will present a range of cutting-edge technologies, including surge protection systems, advanced LED lighting solutions, and state-of-the-art closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems.

Philipose Jacob, the Country Director for India at Eaton Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, Oil and Gas, expressed enthusiasm about the company’s participation in the expo. Jacob underscored the company’s commitment to technological advancement and its strategic efforts to tackle complex power management challenges across various sectors.

Jacob also highlighted the longstanding legacy of the Crouse-Hinds series, which has been a trusted name in explosion-protected solutions for over 125 years. Furthermore, Jacob emphasized Eaton’s 25-year history in India, showcasing the company’s dedication to local manufacturing that supports both Indian and global markets.

Eaton’s presentation at the Automation Expo will feature several notable innovations. Among these is the Hart over Ethernet multiplexer, which integrates the HART protocol with the company’s proprietary technology to efficiently transmit process data from field devices to asset management software. Another highlight is the EPIK Series Explosion Protected PTZ Camera, designed specifically for hazardous environments. This camera boasts a robust construction made from carbon-reinforced polymer, ensuring durability and reliability in challenging conditions.

The company will also showcase the GECMA IS 10.1″ Tablet PC, which is engineered for use in hazardous environments. This tablet is equipped with a powerful processor and offers versatile connectivity options, making it a valuable tool for various industrial applications. Additionally, Eaton will present the MEDC XB15M Metallic Xenon Beacon, a dependable signaling device designed to perform reliably in harsh environments. This beacon is certified under ATEX and IECEx standards, further validating its suitability for demanding conditions.

Eaton is also highlighting its surge protection solutions tailored for the renewable energy sector, which includes technologies designed to protect solar, wind, and hydrogen infrastructures. At the expo, the company will introduce its digital Hydrogen Scope of Supply tool, reflecting its ongoing commitment to enhancing safety in hydrogen applications.
