KPIT, a software supplier based in Pune, is changing its strategy to deal with the slowing demand for electric vehicles (EVs). The company will still focus on EVs but will also put more effort into developing hybrid technologies.
“We are not immune to the slowdown, but we are adjusting our offerings to solve our clients’ problems,” KPIT management said. They are quickly adapting to meet the challenges faced by their customers. KPIT officials believe that most global car manufacturers will keep investing in EVs, especially as battery prices stabilize and the production of traditional engines decreases.
“There is no decline in EV growth. They are still growing, just not as fast as in previous years. We believe growth will continue in the future,” they added. KPIT’s technology includes more than just EVs. The company is also heavily involved in internal combustion engines and hybrid vehicles.
As the growth rate of EVs slows, sales of hybrid vehicles are increasing, giving KPIT a chance to help clients expand their range of vehicle technologies. “We see this as an opportunity because car manufacturers will need to invest in both EVs and hybrids, leading to more programs than ever before,” KPIT’s leadership stated.
