Mumbai-based Godrej Tooling wants to increase its export revenue from 10% to 25% in the next three years. The company, which supplies automotive tools to big clients like Honda, Maruti Suzuki, and Mahindra & Mahindra, has an annual revenue of about Rs 200 crore. Currently, 70-75% of this revenue comes from the automotive sector.
Pankaj Abhyankar, Senior Vice President & Business Head at Godrej Tooling, shared that building strong relationships with key customers is essential. “Each tool is important for a component, so we need reliable vendors,” he said.
To support its export goals, Godrej Tooling is partnering with local toolrooms in targeted regions to provide quick technical assistance. They are also looking into making some tools locally to increase exports and create new markets. The company is also working with technical experts to get valuable market insights and connect with potential high-value customers.
