Bajaj Auto, the maker of two and three-wheelers, reported a 5% rise in total sales for June 2024. The company sold 3,58,477 units in June, up from 3,40,981 units in June 2023.
Domestic Sales:
Increased by 8% to 2,16,451 units from 1,99,983 units last year.
Exports:
Rose 1% to 1,42,026 units from 1,40,998 units last year. Two-wheeler exports dropped by 1%.
Two-Wheeler Sales:
Grew 3% to 3,03,646 units from 2,93,649 units last year. Domestic two-wheeler sales went up by 7% to 1,77,207 units.
Commercial Vehicle Sales:
Increased by 16% to 54,831 units from 47,332 units last year. Domestic sales of three-wheelers rose 16%, and exports increased by 14%.
For the first six months of 2024, Bajaj Auto’s total sales were 11,02,056 units, a 7% increase from 10,27,407 units in the same period last year. After the sales announcement, Bajaj Auto’s share price went up by over 2%, reaching ₹9,696.55 on the BSE. The share price has increased by over 41% year-to-date and more than 105% in the past year.
